I thought mercy was for the “good people.”
The church folks. The ones who didn’t mess up their lives like I did.

But there I was, locked in a cell, buried in shame, when it hit me:
God doesn’t wait for you to get clean, He meets you in the mess.

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22–23

Mercy didn’t excuse what I did
But it did rewrite who I am.

Always wondering when it would catch up with me.

Even in prison, my mind raced.
Anger. Regret. Shame.
There was no peace, just noise.

But then God whispered into my chaos:

The Mafia was my family.
Prison was just part of the deal.
